Jessica Chastain debuts her new bangs on Instagram: tragic or not that bad?

We last spoke about Jessica Chastain during the Cannes Film Festival, where I honestly thought she was one of the best-dressed ladies of the festival. Shocking! I really like Jessica but bless her heart, she usually gets at least one thing wrong on every red carpet, whether it’s an ill-fitting dress or a bad color or terrible hair, you get the idea. But she looked pretty fantastic during Cannes – the violet Elie Saab was one of my favorite looks ever on her, and I think she’s gotten a better hair stylist too. I had high hopes that Jessica was finally over the last styling hurdles and that everything was going to be amaze-balls from here on out.

And then these bangs happened. Nooooo!!! Honestly though, they’re not that bad. That was difficult to say because you know how bangs-phobic I am. But these are far from “bangs trauma.” They’re a decent length, they don’t look too thick, and if she has second thoughts, it won’t take her too long to grow them out.

Jessica wrote: “Someone got a haircut courtesy of @renatocampora #hair #genius #brigittebardot #60s #fashion #iloveitsomuch.” Er… Brigitte Bardot? Jessica Chastain? Not really. More like Ann-Margret. Which is not bad at all.
